Dear Mr Keir Starmer,

I am a former Guantanamo Bay detainee. I attempted to report my detention, rendition and torture as well as the involvement of British citizens. I went to Brick Lane police station on the 18^th January 2011. A Constable Ayers (HT 552) noted my report down and called back on the 19^th January 2011 to tell me that it was out of British police force jurisdiction as it happened outside of the UK. Ayers said I should take my complaint to the European Court of Human Rights.

I am a British citizen and a crime has been committed against me by British citizens as well as citizens of other nations. I feel it unfair that I am prevented from reporting it as a crime to the police service.

I ask that you look into this matter and hope that you will come back to me with the good news that I can report the crime of Guantanamo and British citizens’ involvement to the police service.
