Cageprisoners has received reports from the relatives of seven Muslim men held in the detainee unit at HMP Long Lartin that they will not be allowed to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr in the main prison. Despite having been permitted to perform ‘Eid prayers and celebrations in general population in the past prison authorities have told the men that they can celebrate ‘Eid on the sex-offenders wing instead.
