The Foundation obtained information from the Polish Border Guard confirming that in the period between December 2002 and September 2003 seven CIA jets operated by front companies had landed at the remote Szymany airport in northern Poland.
According to the document just released by the Foundation, twenty people altogether disembarked from the aircrafts and presumably were transported to the Polish secret service station in Stare Kiejkuty. The document made available by the Border Guard gives for the first time an official confirmation that CIA aircrafts carried passengers on their board when landing at the Szymany airport.
Adam Bodnar, Secretary of the Board of the HFHR, pointed out that the information obtained by the Foundation had not been previously submitted to the European
Parliament in relation to its investigation.
Official investigation was launched in Poland in August 2008 by the National Prosecution Office. Yet the Office pointed out that it should not be expected to draw the investigation quickly to the end.
