Urgent Appeal for Detainee Z

Detainee Z was recently accused of tampering with his electronic tag and thus breaching the conditions of his bail order. He was arrested on 22nd June and taken to the High Security Prison, HMP Belmarsh, where he is held as a Category A prisoner while he awaits a SIAC (Special Immigration Appeals Commission) hearing on 28th July to challenge that accusation.

Detainee Z

Detainee Z has been detained in a maximum security prison and now suffers punishing bail conditions while facing deportation to Algeria.

The government’s strategy is not new or clever, it is a rehash of the same lines that have been promoted under Blair and Brown.
