There seems to be some surprise that the attacks in Norway were not the work of Muslims. There should not be. The Annual Europol reports on terrorism consistently show that Muslims are not responsible for the majority of terrorism cases in Europe.

Redefining terrorism in the big society

Would individuals who travel to Bahrain or Yemen or Gaza to protect the civilian population in those countries, people who, to quote Ed Milliband, are “out of reach of the international community” and who may perish as a result, be classified as terrorists as a result?

Taxes, death and Schedule 7

As the saying goes in life there are two things that you can’t avoid: death and taxes. Well, I formally suggest that this saying be revised, or at least amended, to add in ‘unless you are a Muslim, in which case you will also have to deal with schedule 7 of the Terrorism 2000 act.’ Granted it may be a little long to catch on, but the point still stands.

Abdullah al-Kidd

On March 16, 2003, al-Kidd was arrested at Dulles International Airport. Several days earlier, a judge had issued a material witness arrest warrant, and required his testimony in an upcoming trial; the FBI claimed (incorrectly) that al-Kidd had a one-way ticket to Saudi Arabia, and that since no extradition treaty existed between the US and Saudi Arabia, once he left he would not return.

Khalid is a British citizen originating from Libya. He is currently detained in Lynton Green prison having pled guilty under duress to ‘criminal damage and affray’ by allegedly knocking his own gas pipe and complaining that a police person was verbally abusive to him.
