Justice for Janjua

Sadness engulfed my heart when I last assisted Amina Janjua in her Supreme Court appearance in her endless campaign for missing persons of Pakistan.

She stood up and spoke with full vigor despite having been very sick for the last few days as well as running to and
from the hospital seeking treatment for her aged father in law.

As she cries out for the justice for others I wonder as to when her grievance will be resolved. It is a great tragedy that a mother of three children has been waiting for six years for a man who is been acknowledged to have been illegally detained as Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Choudry himself had taken suo-motto notice of this incident and provided security for the star witness who stated he saw Mr. Masood Janjua in confinement.

A question to ponder upon is why is he not been produced and dealt with according to the laws placed in the constitution of Pakistan? What are the authorities so afraid of in standing him in the court of law in order that he can defend himself? If he has committed a crime, then let it be proclaimed aloud. Otherwise what was the purpose of the constitution and what is the benefit of a judiciary which cannot provide justice.

The country is rapidly losing its national and international integrity by denying fundamental basic rights to the citizens of Pakistan. Justice was immediately granted to Raymond Davis because he had American status but it is been continuously been denied to Mrs. Janjua because she is not as powerful, nor of some high status to be granted justice that she so rightly deserves.

The time is ripe for the government of Pakistan to hereby implement the true meaning of the rule of law. It is time to ease the deep anguish and distress of Mrs. Janjua by Mr. Masoods immediate release.

Justice for Mr. Janjua can no longer be denied. Enough is enough.

Justice Javed Iqbal has already stated to the Interior Minister in the last Supreme Court hearing, 2nd of May, on the missing people that no one is above the law. Let them follow that in spirit, let them  stop the evil, oppressive practice of holding loved ones of families like cattle, causing unimaginable grief and stress to all those affected.

How much longer can Mrs. Amina Janjua continue for the release of her beloved husband? What law are we governed under that she is denied a simple phone call to him or to receive a letter from him in order to ease a troubled and tired heart of a woman has been single handedly, been running a humanitarian campaign not only to demand justice for her husband but for countless other families too.
Thus she is no ordinary woman but a woman with a heat of gold and a powerful inner strength which fails to be diminished despite all her troubles & tribulations.

Will no one answer her cries of six years for justice for her family and herself?

The implementers of law should bow their heads in shame for silently watching a daughter of their nation been denied a God given right to the law of the land.
