Omar Khadr to return to Canada from Guantánamo by end of May
Finally, it seems, five months after the Canadian citizen and former child prisoner Omar Khadr was supposed to leave Guantánamo, to be returned to Canada as a result of a plea deal agreed in October 2010, it appears that he may be back in the country of his birth by the end of May.

رغم مرور أكثر من عام ونيف على الصفقة التي وقعت بين الحكومة الأمريكية والكندي عمر خضر المعتقل في سجن غوانتانامو، فإن الاتفاق بقي حبرا على ورق، وذلك بعدما اعترف خضر- والذي كان في الخامسة عشر من العمر عندما تم اعتقاله في افغانستان- انه رمى قنبلة ادت الى مقتل جندي أمريكي في "خست" عام 2002، وفي المقابل حصل خضر على حكم مخفف يقضي ببقائه في الاعتقال في جوانتانامو عاما اضافيا، ومن ثم نقله الى كندا ليقضي بقية العقوبة التي تبلغ 8 سنوات
